Trendy textile designs / Practically made for the contract area: innovations skai® Paratexa NF and skai® Paduna Stars NF show realistic textile design / Four B1-grades with high-quality designs / Additions to skai® digital print collection / New colors for the bestseller skai® Pavinto

Weissbach, May 16, 2017 – The motto #SEE #TOUCH #THINK #LOVE is like a common thread running through the trade fair year for the surface specialist Hornschuch. The four characteristics perfectly express the message that the company wants to convey. Hornschuch invites the interested expert audience to meet its Interior Team at booth E 40 in hall 6 at Interzum. Here, visitors can experience new high-quality artificial leathers and furniture films live as well as create individual solutions and holistic concepts for customer projects. The goal of all of it is to let the customers know that the look and feel of Hornschuch‘s materials, their inner values and external attractiveness make them something special: surfaces that touch.

Hornschuch will also present its Concept Car THE PIONEER at the Piazza Textile & Machinery with the motto “Mobile Spaces”. With it, Hornschuch shows its complete spectrum of design competence in interiors and exteriors.

Ideal for the contract area

With the materials skai® Paratexa NF, skai® Paduna Stars NF, skai® Palma NF, and skai® Parotega NF, Hornschuch has four innovative artificial leather materials in its portfolio with special flame-retardant properties for the Interior area. They meet the most stringent, international flame-retardancy standards B1; DIN EN 13501 B-s3, d0; M1 as well as crip 5 and are impressive with high-quality, robust, and varied designs. The two new materials skai® Paratexa NF and skai® Paduna Stars NF are characterized by a very realistic textile look. skai® Paduna Stars NF stands out with a metallic effect. skai® Palma NF has a fine calf leather grain, skai® Parotega NF a classic leather grain with a particular realistic look and feel. The products are versatile. They are perfectly suited for the discerning, design-oriented contract area, in which particular attention is paid to the topic of flame retardancy. The materials are also impressive due to their high-quality technical properties such as robustness, ease-of-cleaning, and lightfastness.

Amazingly realistic

The brand-new upholstery material skai® Paratexa NF embraces the current textile trend. Its sophisticated surface structure combined with the modern textile look and the trendy colors create a particular natural feel. A total of 15 subdued, pastel colors have been available from the very beginning. The premium product has recently been given the label iconic Award 2017: interior innovation – Winner, the new product was also successful at the renowned iF Product Design Awards 2017. The material leaves nothing to be desired with regard to its workability. It also complies with the stringent B1 flame-retardancy standard and is therefore ideally suited for the design-oriented contract area.

Textile Magic

Shiny metallic surfaces are still very popular in addition to the textile look. The new film skai® Paduna Stars NF combines both trends in one surface because the material also has a delicate textile structure. In 16 trendy metallic shades – including the trendy colors taiga, nightblue, ruby, and berry – the material has an elegant and sophisticated appearance. It is ideally suited as an eyecatcher and for decorative applications – on furniture or on the wall. Because this innovative material also fulfills the B1- flame-retardancy standard, it is ideal for the contract area.

skai® digital print – individual designs

Hornschuch’s customers can now equip small series and individual projects with designs from the high-quality skai® digital print collection, thereby scoring points in the market. The high-quality upholstery materials skai® Pandoria Plus and skai® Toledo EN are the basic grades with three different embossings each - elegant leather grain, classic textile grain, and fine micro-pore structure. They are digitally printed and then finished with a coating. The two variants differ primarily in their flame-retardant properties, whereas skai® Pandoria has a higher level of flame resistance. 17 innovative motifs are available with the various embossings. They are intended to serve as an inspiration and to illustrate the possibilities of digital printing, but they can also be ordered. The designs are impressive with their intensely brilliant colours and unique 3D-effects. They range from wood, to textile, to phantasy motifs. Each design can fundamentally be converted to digital direct printing such as when an Allover-Logo print is desired. The minimum amount is 100 meters. For Interzum 2017, Hornschuch has expanded its skai® digital print collection by five current designs, including four color variants of existing designs, as well as a completely new creation.

New colors for the bestseller

The high-quality upholstery material skai® Pavinto, which looks intentionally old, has become a Hornschuch bestseller in the meantime. The material with a stylish cowhide look bears seemingly heavy signs of use. Cracks and visual wear, as well as the varying grain contribute to the authentic vintage look. The surface seems to have experienced a lot, time has left its marks. Its varied grain pattern and deliberately placed hues give skai® Pavinto a warm and lively look. Its pleasantly soft feel and fine glossy peaks perfectly replicate its natural model. skai® Pavinto gives seating furniture like sofas or chairs the charm of an antique. In a lounge, a hotel lobby, or a bar, skai® Pavinto creates an exclusive atmosphere. The vintage trend continues to be in style, therefore the surface specialist will introduce the four new colors lightgrey, platinum, sea blue, and carmine for the bestseller at Interzum. It is now available in a total of 13 trendy colors.
